How to plan Everest Base Camp trek

How to plan Everest base camp trek
To reach the Everest base camp is dream for many travelers and to see the mount everest and other nearby peak from close distance is such a wonderful experience. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world and also known as roof of the world. The best possibility for not climbers is to see from Nepalese side of course. We have to trek through the wonderful Sherpa land to reach the mount Everest base camp .
When to go
The best time to trek Everest base camp is in autumn season i.e. from sep to November and mar to may as well . we should avoid monsoon June/July/august to avoid the possible rain, cloud and landslides. For base camp we should also have to consider the chilly winter with cold breeze, icy air/water etc.
The best time to go
The best time to go to Everest base camp trek is in march/April/may and sep/October/Never when the the daytime temperature used to be like 15/200 c  and night time temperature also doesn’t goes so far then freezing level.
Avoid winter time
For the safety of the trekkers we would like to suggest you to avoid winter time because its really chilly at base camp and Gorakshep where you have to spend overnight. And the trail used to be full of snow or icy. To avoid the possible danger we can see the mount Everest from lower altitude settlement like Tengboche , Namche also worthy for the winter time.
Don’t trek in monsoon time June/July
For the safety of the trekkers we would like you to suggest not to trek in monsoon time to avoid possible rain, landslide, bugs & insects etc. Though most of the time mountain is surrounded by cloud.
Permits required
For foreigners except Nepalese you need to have National park permit and TIMS card.  If you trekking with agency, the agency will deal with all your permit and entrance permits. If you trekking individuals as solo trekker you need to do all by yourself. For solo trekkers to get the national park permit you either you have to visit tourism board office or can get at National park gate in Jorsalle at the entrance of national park. For Tims card either you have to visit TAAN (trekking agencies association of Nepal) office in Thamel or you can buy at TIMS check post at the trail.

Trek to Everest Taboche

                        Trek to Everest  Taboche

Taboche Is a very distinctive mountain of 6367m (20889 ft) And a close neighbor of chocolate. One glance is sufficient to appreciate that its routes are severely challenging. After sir Edmund Hillary’s American New Zealand team made an unsuccessful attempt in 1963 Taboche was put out of bounds to further climbing expeditions on religious grounds. However in 1974 yannick seigneur and a group of Chamonix guides made a clandestine ascent of the south East face. When the Nepalese authorities found out seigneur fled the country and was subsequently fined and banned from Nepal for five years. The mountain was later reopened and the second ascent was made ( legally by four Japanese climbers in 1985.

Everest region

The Everest region is located in the northeast of Nepal. The 10-day walk through the middle hills of Solu to the higher altitudes of Khumbu to the base of Sagarmatha, or Mt. Everest, the world’s highest peak, is an opportunity to observe and participate in the daily life of the legendary Sherpa people. The prime attraction – the 8,848 m peak of Mt. Everest – lies in Sagarmatha National Park, which is also home to two other eight thou sanders – Lhotse and Cho Oyu – besides several other prominent peaks above 6,000 m.Designated as a World Heritage Site in 1979, much of the 1,148 sq. km park lies above 3,000 m. The park is composed of rugged terrain with deep gorges, glaciers and huge rocks. The vegetation in the park changes from pine, hemlock, fir, juniper, birch, rhododendron and shrubs to alpine plants and then to bare rock and snow. It is home to the ghoral, tahr, serow and musk deer as well as the impeyan pheasant, blood pheasant, red-billed chough and the yellow-billed chough. The trail to Everest also begins at Lukla, the airport at 2,850 m. The trail climbs up the Dudhkoshi River Valley, and the following day brings you to the legendary Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar in the Khumbu (3,500 m), which is the staging point for expeditions to Everest and other peaks in the area. Above Namche lie the traditional villages of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung which is the largest village in the Khumbu lies at the foot of the sacred peak Khumbila. The Khunde Hospital, maintained by Himalayan Trust, and Khumjung School, the original Hillary School set up in 1960, lie here.
Across the canyon from Khunde, perched on a high ridge, is the Tengboche Monastery, the leading Buddhist center in the Khumbu. The monastery rests amid stunning views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. Pines, azaleas and colorful mountain rhododendrons ring the attractive monastery. There are rest houses, lodges and camping sites here. From Tengboche you can continue on to Pheriche, Kala Pattar and the hamlet of Gorakshep.  From here, the site of Everest Base Camp is easily accessible, as is the summit of KalaPattar (5,545 m), from which much of Mt. Everest is clearly visible. However, you must take time to properly acclimatize as the altitude gains are rapid.
